With the US Open in full-swing in New York City, Mr. Murphy teamed up with some fellow geniuses at IBM and digital production company Tool for a music, sports and tech project. Murphy's US Open Tennis Project extracts stats and actions from tennis matches, converts it into data and than uses that data to create music all using a complex algorithm.We don't totally understand how this shit works, but there is a video just released by IBM that attempts to break it down so normal people can understand.
