UK remix jungle cat Kat Krazy has taken a twiddle to the late summer monster that is "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. In so doing, he transforms the 60s girl group-inspired original into an early 00s girl group-inspired dancefloor jam.Kat Krazy is best known, perhaps, for his remix of Bastille's "Pompeii," which peaked at No. 1 on the US Dance Charts earlier this year. This mix holds down the same key as the vocal line (C minor), though the synth kicks off on the third of the scale, almost tricking the ear. The crescendo of the rhythm avoids the perils of a drop but gives enough buildup that you don't miss it.You will need a new dance for this, as Jessie's forward bend and bounce won't really cut it, but that's just as well, isn't it?The "Bang Bang" remixes are out on Tuesday, September 30 through Casablanca Records.
