It’s not often you can say a lamp looks good enough to eat, but that’s the case with the Lumière au Chocolate from designer Alexander Lervik. He’s bravely merged chocolate with LEDs to create an edible lamp that will light up your dinner table and provide you with dessert too.The light starts off completely solid in the shape of a pyramid with the top sliced off, and then begins to melt from the heat of the LED, turning to liquid after about half an hour. Over that period it goes from opaque to slowly letting light slip through as the chocolate oozes away and collects in the tray. You’re then left with a bowl of chocolate that you can let harden and then stuff in your face. Everyone’s a winner.
