“You gotta ask yourself, do you feel lucky, greenie punks?”

An Australian lawmaker was slammed Sunday for posting a photo of himself aiming a firearm, days after the Florida school shooting.

George Christensen of the Liberal National Party of Queensland, posted a Facebook picture Saturday threatening his political opponents with a gun.

The now-deleted post showed Christensen holding a handgun with the caption: “You gotta ask yourself, do you feel lucky, greenie punks?” — a reference to the Clint Eastwood movie “Dirty Harry.”

Following a flurry of complaints, Christensen amended the caption to say: “You gotta ask yourself, do you have a sense of humour, greenie punks? Obviously not.”

Christensen, who has yet to apologize for the picture, eventually deleted the post after it was referred to Nigel Scullion, the acting party leader. Scullion took over from Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, currently on leave following a sex scandal.

Christensen posted another picture Friday showing him firing a rifle at a gun range. The caption said gun owners should not be “demonized by the media,” a reference to the Parkland shooting a day earlier.

Christensen was unrepentant Monday: “Putting a joke up on social media, if that's doing something wrong, then there's a lot of people that are going to be in trouble because it happens every day, every hour in this country.”

A complaint was lodged by Greens politician Ben Pennings. He sent police a screenshot of Christensen’s post after receiving “numerous” death threats.

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young said she had also received death threats after complaining the post made Christensen “unfit for public office.”

After investigating the matter, Queensland Police said Sunday no charges would be arising from the incident.
