We wrote a while ago about how the music community in London came out in support of the victims of last month's horrific Grenfell Tower fire. And even now, as the blaze makes fewer headlines and the realities of life for those affected are faced, music is still in Grenfell's corner, with many musicians from communities like the one affected refusing to let it become old news.

Since the fire took place, ravaging homes and livelihoods, London singer Angel has been working on putting on an event to benefit the survivors, and this weekend it's finally here, on a much bigger scale than initially thought.

GrenfellLive will take place at west London's Eventim Apollo this Saturday (29 July), and will feature appearances from JME, Big Narstie, Ghetts, Wretch 32, WSTRN, Shakka and Angel himself, as well as sets from DJ Sian Anderson and DJ Ace of BBC 1Xtra, all of whom have been tweeting about the event. Proceeds will go towards the London Community Foundation, which has been directly assisting Grenfell survivors, and special guests are also promised on the day (*eyes emoji*). If you're able to get to that part of the city over the weekend, you can – and should! – buy tickets here for what will be a great, worthwhile party.
