Kossisko Is an Artist in the Truest Coolest-as-Hell Sense of the Word

Today he releases "Persona," which you should come to immediately.

Perhaps you know Kossisko back when he was 100s, a funky-ass project he released a few years back through A-Trak's Fools Gold label. Or maybe you've known him since then, from the previous singles he's released under this name such as "Jealousy" or "This May Be Me". And if you know either of these things, and especially if you know both, you'll know Kossisko is an artist.

By that we don't mean he's an art student or he's doing something stupidly weird as fuck that no one will understand – or any of the other not-so-great connotations of being labelled an artist. We simply mean this dude creates some cool as hell shit, seemingly born from an innate desire to do so. Over email, he tells us his inspirations are "Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rick James, Bobby Brown and the painter Francis Bacon" – which is a pretty eclectic collection.

Today however marks the beginning of a new chapter. Here's Kossisko explaining that in his own words, then above is the first video to come from the project, directed by a guy called Logan Fields. Lap that shit up like a dog taking to water in summer.
