Photoshop Lies Pt 242: This Music Video Shows Real Time Manipulation

Budapest singer Boggie was born asymmetric. She needs fixing, stat.

Everyone loves looking at photoshop before and afters, duh. See the recent storm in a tea cup about Vogue waving their wand over Lena Dunham. Not that Lena's mad at it. She says Vogue is all about "a beautiful fantasy" and it "isn't the place that we go to look at realistic women." I get what she's saying but it does make me feel a bit sad in my soul. If I want to look at fantasy, I'll buy another Guy Bourdin book.

In any case, photoshop is freakin' magic. It never ceases to amaze me, not only what can be done, but also what retouchers think needs to be done. Like, how could you look at Katy Perry and think, "Hey, her neck looks a bit thick and the crook of her elbow looks a little too much like flesh"?

Not that I'm big on feeling sorry for people in the spotlight, but I think it's more of a bummer to be the one being photoshopped than us, mere civilians, gazing upon celebrities ironed out, nipped in forms. After constantly seeing yourself 'shopped to shit in magazines and touched up on the big screen, surely these women then look in the mirror and think, "Oh."

Anyone suggesting that it's actually more destructive for us "normals" to constantly be looking at the photoshopped bodies of famous folk, to this I say, "Pffft." If you think that, you're an idiot and you should use Google and type the words "photoshop," "before," and "after." Chill out.

All of which leads us to Budapest singer Boggie, otherwise known as Csemer Boglárka. Today she released a video for her song "Nouveau Parfum," in which she is photoshopped in real time. Lightening the skin and blurring the blemishes, eh, that's minor. You can watch one of her eyes be replicated and flipped! People need to cease with this symmetry obsession. One of my nostrils is definitely a different shape than the other and I'm totally okay with it.

Watch the video above, marvel at it, eat a cookie, and have a nice day.

Kim's eyes are also not symmetrical and she's on Twitter - @theKTB.
