SULK: "The Big Blue"

This new track from SULK sounds like a day spent in a park, drenched in sun and booze, and it's gorgeous.

By the time Brit pop had properly swung around unto the TV sets of a nation, I was still learning how to tie my shoelaces. See, for anyone in their early twenties, the memory of a culture stained blue white and red is nothing but an emerald tinged memory perpetuated by nostalgic think-pieces and anecdotes from our parents.

It’s not to say that we can’t enjoy it, though. It’s just that our generation hasn’t yet had our “She Bangs The Drums”. SULK aren’t that band, but in 2013, they’re about the closest that we’re going to get to a masterful British infused baggy revival. Their new track, “The Big Blue”, which is released proper on May 20th, basically sounds like a day spent in a park, drenched in sun and booze, pulling hard on the reigns of summer. It’s a nice sound and it’s one that I’d like to hear more of.
