Come To Foals' NYC Listening Party Tonight

Their new record comes out on February 12, but if you can't wait until then (and you live in the New York major metropolitan area) you should show up at Fig. 19 in the LES tonight.

If our demographics are right, you're reading this from America, which means you may or may not be aware of Foals, a dancey British indie rock band that takes its name from the technical term for a horse under one year old. Foals is from Oxford, which is where almost every UK band you've heard of is from: that list includes Radiohead, Ride, and Swervedriver, plus the current Blessing Force scene, which is known for young upstarts like Chad Valley and Jonquil, among others.

Foals is about to drop a new LP on Transgressive Records called Holy Fire. It comes out on February 12, but if you can't wait until then (and you live in the New York major metropolitan area), you should show up at Fig. 19 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan tonight, on Christie and Delancey. From seven to ten, keyboardist Edwin Congreave will be DJing, and he's be playing the new record in its entirety. We'll be down there too: look for the kids with the hospital bracelets on.

Check out the new video for "Inhaler" right here, and don't forget to pre-order the new album. Coincidentally, we dropped the latest installment in our "The People Vs…" series today, and it features--you guessed it--Foals! Watch that one below, and peep their UK tour dates at the bottom.
