Rainbow Art Is the Best Way to Celebrate #MarriageEquality

This morning the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in a landmark 5-4 vote, overturning all state bans of queer unions in all 50 states. We felt inclined to celebrate the rainbow of possibilities with 10 of the most colorful artworks and installations we’ve seen. For Rainbow Station, Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde’s eponymous studio lit up Amsterdam Central Station by harnessing the same liquid crystal technology used for research on exoplanets in a lens projector that could “unravel light into a spectrum of colors.”
