Worth It - Heems' New Mixtape, Nehru Jackets

25 sick new tracks featuring Kool A.D., Action Bronson, Childish Gambino, Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire, Despot, and Danny Brown.

Heems is one-third of our favorite post-colonial hip-hop mess Das Racist. We shot his band in Seattle back when Noisey was in its infancy. He's the bigger dude who raps like he's on Klonopin. Today he dropped Nehru Jackets, a mixtape Heems made with master producer Mike Finito.

The tape follows Kool A.D.'s Palm Wine Drinkard, another DR-related mix that came out earlier this year. But while that tape was a late-night banger, Nehru Jackets is a subtle, understated affair. Keep your ears open for guest spots from Kool A.D., Action Bronson, Childish Gambino, Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire, Despot, and Danny Brown. Oh, and also, Heems collaborated with on the tape. SEVA is a Queens-based nonprofit encouraging a network of community organizers offering aid to under resourced immigrant communities in New York City. Pretty dope.

You can grab the thing here, and check out the video for "Huzzah!", DR's fall collab with Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire, Despot, El-P, and Danny Brown.
