OK, I'm confused. Originally I'd heard of Trinidad James (through my casual internet stalking) as a purveyor of streetwear goods, which is still true, but apparently he makes music too. And it's pretty good!Below is a taster of his debut EP Don't Be Safe entitled "Gold On My Macbook". Seeing as he's a clothes nerd but also from ATL, he sounds exactly how you think he would, combining ratchet but kinda goofy rhymes with some very of-the-moment heavy-duty synths. If that's not enough, it's accompanied by a satisfyingly simple video, that sees him preening amongst his impressive collection of kicks, chains and gold teef.
