Wiley and J2K Feat. Disclosure: "Tenderly" (Remix)

Wiley and J2K jump on another bouncing bassline from Disclosure.

If, coincidentally, anyone but cuddly sociopath, Wiley, had brough this track to the table a few years ago, it would probably have been laughed straight out of the studio and left to cower under a hail of patronising scowls and "Pussy 'oles". So, either grime MCs are getting a little more laidback, or this is proof of the genre's evolution.

Anyway, Wiley and J2K vocal this gentle and creeping bassline, yet again from the annoyingly talented Disclosure, who throw in their trademark hollow and bassy bounce for good measure. Meanwhile, the Godfather of Grime and J2K get busy talking about the usual: girls, money, baby protection, ummm, and more girls. A tiny part of me hopes this is a whole new era of post-140 bpm grime, full of slowed-down MCs that you can stick on at the end of a heavy night in Magaluf town centre.
