For those of you who never caught President Obama’s State of the Union Address from start to finish last January, have no fear: a hardworking Twitter account called @Emojibama transcribed the entire thing into smileys and icons. The speech was preceeded by:

Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, Members of Congress, my fellow Americans:

We are fifteen years into this new century. 

Fifteen years that dawned with terror touching our shores; that unfolded with a new generation fighting two long and costly wars; that saw a vicious recession spread across our nation and the world.

But tonight, we turn the page.

“Barack Obama said his address to Congress this year was all about ‘finding areas where we agree, so we can deliver for the American people.’ And if there’s one thing we can all agree upon, it’s emojis,” writes The Guardian, who spearheaded the @Emojibama project.
