PREMIERE: Terribly Yours Goes Rogue with a Selfie Stick and Some Strangers in "Answered Prayers"

All you need is a sick bassline, a selfie stick, and a bunch of strangers you met online. Watch this Brooklyn-based artist (and friends) slyly shoot the shit out of Macy's.

Several things right off the bat:

The bassline.

The selfie stick.

The sweet lo-fi pop of this song.

Terribly Yours is the moniker for the Brooklyn basement born project of Sean Bones, whose recent spate of nocturnal activity can be credited to a new addition to his homelife: a baby! Congrats! For this project he's also worked with Nate Martinez, Matt Mondonile (Real Estate / Ducktails), Drew Fischer (Kevin Morby / White Fence), and others, and this is a taster of what's to come.

Bones had this to say about the video: "The original idea for this video had me shopping for recliners on Craigslist—but after a few apartment visits and sketchy living rooms —I got freaked out and we wound up having people from the internet meet us at Macy's.

"Using a department store as a location was challenging but there's a lot of funky design stuff happening in big shopping malls and I realized we could use the lighting and LCD installations like they would in big budget music videos from the 90s. Seeing the song is a meditation on dreams it made sense to use an environment where everyone's searching for something—be it happiness, purpose or maybe just some new cologne."

The pursuit is real! Wonder what Macy's reps would have to say about this sort of renegade behavior. We say—bravo!
