You probably know the Sanctuaries by now. In the past year, the band released their debut record Annette, a jangly, rollicking, halfway cynical indie-rock record that seemed to go perfect with road trips and bike rides and stuff. Well, Peter Feigenbaum of the krauty, dreamy popsters Dinowalrus just gave them a white-knuckled synth-punk makeover, with shimmering guitars and blaring, Sonic The Hedgehog-style synths. It's almost enough to knock the cynicism out of singer David Stern's side-mouthed sneer.Do yourself a little favor and press that little orange play button below, and you'll see what we're talking about:You can stream and purchase Annette right here. And if you live in New York City, you're in luck - the band is celebrating the release of Not Guilty, their most recent EP, tonight at Pianos. They're playing with Jae, Indian Rebound, and Rocket & The Ghost, and you can find more information right here.
