Dinowalrus Made a Sick Remix for The Sanctuaries

Their muted, jangly indie-pop is re-imagined as a keyed-up, synth-rock banger, complete with Sonic The Hedgehog synths.

You probably know the Sanctuaries by now. In the past year, the band released their debut record Annette, a jangly, rollicking, halfway cynical indie-rock record that seemed to go perfect with road trips and bike rides and stuff. Well, Peter Feigenbaum of the krauty, dreamy popsters Dinowalrus just gave them a white-knuckled synth-punk makeover, with shimmering guitars and blaring, Sonic The Hedgehog-style synths. It's almost enough to knock the cynicism out of singer David Stern's side-mouthed sneer.
