Above is the cover of Gone Till November, the upcoming memoir that Lil Wayne is writing about his time on Rikers Island, where he spent eight months on a gun charge. It's up for preorder on Amazon, but we won't be linking to it because the book isn't out until May of next year, and will probably be bad.
There are a lot of reasons for a mega-celeb like Wayne to pen a book. One, he likes money, and since the book is based on a series of diaries he kept in prison, he's basically done half of the work involved with writing a book. Two, when you write your own book you control exactly how you're going to be perceived, which might be important considering that at a recent deposition a visibly exasperated Wayne said some things that could be interpreted as a threat upon a prosecutor's life.
