Last night we hosted a free party at the Loft, an intimate (and surprisingly difficult to find) venue attached to Public Assembly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Sadly, I got stuck with door duty, but I managed to sneak in and check out DJs Roofeeo, Dirty Finger, and headliners WIN WIN, who we were shooting for Noisey.This sick synth group is comprised of producer XXXChange, DJ Chris Devlin, and visual artist Ghostdad, who crushed it with a coordinated amalgamation of mystical, technology-driven images that made the set one to remember. Crowd favorites “Victim,” “Interleave,” and “Releaserpm” combined mixed guitar riffs, steelpan drum lines, unique electro-distortions, and zoned-out vocal tracks that turned me into a dancing idiot.

The set transcended that boundary between ultra-hip dance music and super-chilled awesomeness (which is a genre of music, by the way). Did I mention there was free beer from Asahi? It was, dare I say, a win-win kind of night…
