BREAKING: British Prison Inmates Love Tupac, Says National Prison Radio

Presenting the only year-end list with no Grimes.

UK's National Prison Radio just released their 20 most requested artists of 2012 and, in a surprising turn of events, patron saint of good ol' fashioned thuggery Tupac tops the list as the most popular artist among British inmates. Shocking, we know.

Pac is followed in rankings by currently-incarcerated VICE Records fam/Jamaican dancehall pioneer Vybz Kartel and London rapper once charged with attempted murder K. Koke. But the caged bird does more than rap; Rihanna, the only female to make the list, slides in at number four, while Metallica, Pink Floyd, and—um—Evanescence also rank.

Conspicuously missing from this year-end list: Grimes, Tame Impala, Fiona Apple, that one Lambchop album no one has actually ever heard.
