Trax Records is a mecca for real house music enthusiasts. Conceived back in Chicago during 1985, Trax released Le Noiz’s "Wanna Dance" and in doing so initiated a run of club hits that pawned both house and acid house for the next five years. Like, we're shouting about a label that has housed the likes of Mr Fingers, Frankie Knuckles and Marshall Jefferson for Christ's sake.Now, we can all wallow in some four-to-the-floor induced wet dream because Traxbox have the whole discography mashed into a compilation. All 75 12" releases are there in their entirety, extensively re-mastered with some tracks even been rebuilt with an extra oomph. They're also neatly packaged in a beautiful heavyweight 16 x CD purpose-designed wallet together with a 100 page booklet.In celebration Marshall Jefferson, aka the father of house (NO BIG DEAL), put together a mix for us to celebrate the legacy of the label.
