T. Williams: "On My Own" (Feat TALA)

Required listening in these summer days of scorched skin and Calippos.

Proving once again that PMR are one of the most on point labels out there, T. Williams's new release "On My Own" is required listening in these summer days of scorched skin and Calippos. The producer’s latest effort is a slow-building, effortless house groove that will go down as nicely on the dancefloor as it will in your living room. Featuring mystery babe TALA on guest vocals (sounds a touch like Little Dragon, FYI), “On My Own” is an inviting number that adds to an already pleasing selection of releases from T. Williams. Watch out for the vaguely empowering lyrics, a subtle and comforting reminder to essentially cast off the shackles of other people’s bullshit. Basically, it's the makings of a 2K13 club banger.

Hey! Can you tell us a little bit about the track and the EP? Where was it recorded?

The EP is four tracks showing some very different elements of myself. Some hard and gritty stuff and also some nice light summer vibes. "On My Own" was recorded in my studio with TALA. One of my proudest tracks to date. The song and instrumental came together in the most natural way.

Favourite thing on your iPod right now (can't be an audiobook)?

Dub Siren DX. Hours of fun playing around with air horns and sound system fx.

Most annoying music question a journalist can ask (can't be anything we're about to ask)?

"So, tell me a bit about yourself?"

Please can you make up a dramatic story about how you got into music?

I was banned from listening to music for ten years, then loved the first style I ever heard which was jungle/D&B.

What do you think you'd be doing if you had a proper job?

I've got a proper job. But if I had another job I'd be teaching music tech.

Can you sum up your music in a haiku?

What the hell is a haiku??

What would your death row meal be?

Rice & peas, fried fish, mac & cheese, gravy, roast potatoes, salad and coleslaw.

Excellent shout. Who's your favourite person on Twitter?

Artwork from Magnetic Man. Always up for a laugh.

Finally, what's the best thing you've been in fancy dress?

I've never done fancy dress before. Someone please throw me a party so I can dress up as a Star Wars Storm trooper.

Lulz. Thanks T. Williams!
