Egyptian Hip Hop - "Yoro Diallo"

Mancunian noise rockers give a second taste of their debut.

Masquerading as the Dr. Dre Detox of indie music, Egyptian Hip Hop's debut album has been a long time coming. The Manchester-based band emerged back in 2009 with a fully-fledged palette of colorful ideas, before seemingly putting aside their musical paintbrushes and hanging up their audio-splattered canvases for good.

That is, until recently. The band returned last month with the excellent "SYH" —a track that saw them furthering their melodic roots—and last night, they dropped this. "Yoro Diallo" continues along the mellifluous route, mixing in equal parts electro funk and math rock, with a dash of hypnotic dance, all mixed together to form a syrupy sweet pysch-rock cocktail. Mmm. Slurp it up.

EHH, next time, don’t go away for so long. Plz?

The bands debut album Good Don’t Sleep is out October 22.
