You know how anyone from Bristol or anyone remotely connected to the Bristol music scene, will wax lyrical about ‘trip-hop’ and how "Massive Attack defined a generation” etc? Well, I love that era as much as the next muso, but I'm also aware that, like, there have been changes to the musical ladscape in the last, oh I dunno, decade.Thank god then, that the new school Bristolians have formed this loose collective, Sure Thing, featuring the likes of jungle's DJ Die, Joker on keyboard, house DJs Futureboogie’s Christophé, among others. The final product? A funk-filled synth track, with lots of glittery disco, bass-warps and a great video that’s more 80s than hating Thatcher and panicking about AIDS.
FYI.
