PREMIERE: Impale Yourself on the Hellish Vibrations of Pissgrave, Profound Lore's Latest Signing

Philly's best new death metal band is going to drag you down to hell.

Philadelphia may or may not have the best punk scene in the country, but what it absolutely does have is one of America's most potent and underappreciated extreme metal communities. Pissgrave is its latest export, and is also the nastiest band I've heard come oozing out of the City of Brotherly Love since Jenkem.

Graceless Recordings released a demo tape of their blown-out, bastardised Floridian death metal last year, which led to a US tour with Dead Congregation, a gig opening for Incantation, and a good bit of buzz. Now, Profound Lore has welcomed them into the fold. Pissgrave's debut full-length, Suicide Euphoria, is due out August 4, and we're delighted to be sharing a track.

The album features nine tracks of frenzied, barbaric bestial death, and the hyper-distortion, nods to harsh noise, and old-school tendencies that made the demo sound so deadly are thoroughly intact. Pissgrave sounds positivly fucking horrific, which, of course, is exactly their aim.

Listen to "Impaled Vibrations" below, then dust off your old copy of Deicide and settle in to wait for August 4.
