Just as Occupy Wall Street gets an official co-sign from Ben & Jerry's and a visit from Yeezy and Russell Simmons, Occupy Houston gets a big name endorsement of its own: Yup, you guessed it. Bun B. (Is this guy running for mayor or something?? Seriously…)B took to his Twitter earlier today to rally the troops:
The granddaddy of Southern Trill joined Occupy Houston protesters and METRO mechanics, bus drivers, and rail drivers as they marched on city hall in opposition to "corporate irresponsibility, and unfair social, political, and economic influence", all the while, peppering his Twitter feed with requests for supporters to bring food and drink and encouraging occupiers to set up tents.Reports count about 100 protesers in attendence at the gathering, and if OWS is any indicator, there's no knowing how high those numbers will climb over the next few days/weeks/months. We can't say how many of those individuals were drawn to the march by Bun's tweet, but we think it's pretty safe to say that B is doing a lot more for social and economic justice than Mr. First World Problems….
