Nailing down a schedule for SXSW is virtually impossible. Do I want to see this Brooklyn indie rock band with "driving guitars" and "swirling synths?" Or do I want to see this Brooklyn indie rock band with "driving guitars" and "swirling synths?" The paradox of choice can be suffocating.Luckily, Noisey is cutting through the noise…with more noise. In honor of our new series Heavy Dicks, we're teaming up with our homies at Brooklyn Vegan and Invisible Oranges for a crushing metal day party. On March 15th, from noon to 6pm, Baptists, Batillus, Inter Arma, Royal Thunder, Ken Mode, Pallbearer, and Today is the Day will all be taking the stage at the Main & the JR (AKA Old Emo's—RIP) to rattle you out of your jaded South By slump with hours upon hours of obliterating metal. Come out for free tunes, free booze (courtesy of Jameson), and free vegan bites (courtesy of Pink Avocado and Food for Lovers), just don't come out to "network" (unless you can "network" through tinnitus).RSVP here, and check out the trailer for Heavy Dicks below.
