From Dusty Disco to UK Garage in Our Seven Most Played of the Week

While we try to enjoy the start of a currently-freezing London summer, the THUMP UK office has at least been warmed by the fiery embers of relentless heaters all week long. Nightwave’s sucker-punch of a collab with Chippy Nonstop and the laps and stamps of LSDXOXO’s “ANGEL DUST” mark the fiercer end of our picks. We were also stoked to hear the samples of a collaboration between THUMP favourites Nick Hoppner and Gonno, which will be released on Ostgut Ton. The rest of our best listens this week were all mixes. STAYCORE turned in a writhing mix for Fader, UKG legend Pied Piper took us back to 2002 on Rinse, and disco don Ruf Dug turned in an hour of leisurely house in anticipation of Gottwood next weekend. Finally, we will leave you with the bounties of Chaos in the CBD’s Balamii show. Perfect Friday night material.
