It’s now been four years since the hugely successful True burst onto the scene and changed dancing alone in your room forever, and still no full-length follow up from Solange Knowles. In the time since, she’s married director Alan Ferguson in an all-white wedding that will forever remain etched in the social consciousness, and found herself front and centre of the mammoth shemozzle that was The Elevator Situation.
Last year we saw the 2010 album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams LP reissued and re-released on streaming services, but this morning was the announce we’ve really been waiting for.

The younger sibling of the Divine Miss Beyonce Knowles announced the title, the album art, and the tracklisting of her incoming album via Instagram. The release, titled A Seat at The Table, is due to drop digitally this Friday, September 30. The album cover is a soft and simple image of Solange, taken by Spanish photographer Carlota Guerrero, while the record itself will include features from Andre 3000, Lil’ Wayne, Kelly Rowland, Kelela, Tweet and Moses Sumney, and production from Sampha, Q Tip, and Raphael Saadiq.
