Responses to the new MacBook Pro have been underwhelming at best. Without the key features that prior versions of the MacBook Pros had, the new Apple product is “unsatisfyingly not pro,” as this parody ad from YouTube tech channel Iggyhopper puts it.
It’s clear the video is playing straight to our emotions. “The saddest part is that no matter how overpriced and underpowered these things are, people will keep buying them and all the stupid adapters, dongles, and other nonsense designed to scam money out of people just because it’s from Apple,” one person commented on the parody. “It’s a brilliant idea, if you think about it. Remove something everybody uses, charge extra for some sort of adapter and call it ‘innovation.’”

So what else does the new MacBook Pro lack? Among other things the parody quips about: the charger isn’t magnetic, it has no HDMI or DisplayPort for VR, no SD card for photos and videos, a “low quality” 720p (1280×720 pixels) front-facing camera, and a maximum memory of only 16 gigabits.
“I give up,” the new MacBook Pro says robotically. Now the question is, will all Apple’s loyal, disappointed customers give up, too?
