Four Tet Reworks a Jamie xx Ballad, Legowelt Gets Wavy, and More in THUMP’s Seven Most Played

This week THUMP have been spreading their ears across a range of rhythms. From the tropical leaning percussions of Alma Negra’s “Mageko,” to Four Tet’s club-ready reimagining of Jamie xx’s “SeeSaw,” all the way through to Legowelt’s wavy “SAMPLING WINTER.” On that wavy tip, we have been obsessed with the celestial blessings of Sega Bodega’s “Sun Loop,” and the trippier but equally dreamy “Scope” from MissingNo. A wild-card comes in the shape of a False Witness edit of Zayn Malik’s “Pillowtalk” that somehow manages to turn a slab of pretty uninspired Bieber-baiting into a noise-protest track. Then finally, get lost in the sensational World Unknown session on Balamii this week.
