The unknown woman who appeared in a white powder scare confessional video has revealed her identity. Her name is Samantha Field, she lives in North Carolina, and she said she'd been selling video services on the freelance work website Fiverr, CTV News reports.

Police had been trying to identify Field since April due to the suspicious video that contained a confession to crimes another woman was arrested for. The video was sent to media the day before that woman, 32-year-old Alexa Emerson (aka Amanda Totchek), of Saskatoon, was arrested after a Canada-wide warrant had been issued for her.

Saskatoon Crime Stoppers referred to the search for the mystery woman as the greatest "Where's Waldo?" internet challenge ever. They suspected that she'd been hired on a site like Fiverr to do a freelance video gig.

"We made those packages together, with the cookies and rockets and tissue paper. She said, 'People will think the baking soda is anthrax,'" Field said in the video.

Field said, however, that she was completely unaware of the true intentions of the person who requested the video, who went by the username "alexemme." She allegedly was told that the script she was reading on camera was an excerpt and that the video she recorded would be played at a book launch.

When she heard that police were looking to speak with her, Field told CTV Saskatchewan, "Honestly, the first thing that went through my head is, This isn't true."

Emerson is facing 83 charges in relation to a slew of incidents in Saskatchewan, including those in which she sent packages containing white powder to businesses, schools, and even a cancer centre. Charges include criminal harassment, public mischief and providing false information—Emerson has pleaded not guilty to all of them.

Police said they plan to talk to Field but haven't yet. Reportedly, the lead investigator on the case is on vacation until August.
