The Men have been on an interesting trip during their transformation from purveyors of mysterious guy hardcore into classic rockers from hell, and now we're privy to the next step on their path. "Maybe I'm Crazy" is the first new song from their upcoming seventh album Drift, the follow-up to 2016's Devil Music, due out 2 March on Sacred Bones Records (who else?). And it sees The Men expand their horizons even further.

Minimalist in everything except atmosphere, the track combines a steady drumbeat with a sparse, industrial bass chug, and the band's signature meandering saxaphone, just to put you on edge. The vocal is a menacing whisper for the most part, booming above the rest of the track like the voice of a demon from an 80's horror movie for a moment, before sinking back underneath. "Maybe I'm Crazy" is more innovation from The Men, and it's an intriguing first look at a new release from a band which has long been defined by forward momentum.
