Looks like Meryl Streep, who holds the record for most Oscar nominations for any actor ever, has finally accomplished another great career feat: She managed to make Donald Trump look normal in comparison after she took part in a bizarre and oddly frightening Trump routine on Monday.

During New York City's annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala Monday night, Streep emerged onstage in Trump regalia, Entertainment Weekly reports. Christine Baranski of Good Wife fame was there too, dressed as Hillary Clinton. Just to push things even further toward the surreal, Streep and Baranski sang a duet of "Brush Up Your Shakespeare" from the 1940's Broadway musical Kiss Me, Kate, because why not?

Streep's proved time and time again she can slide into any role she chooses, and by God, she went all the way with Trump—there was the golden face, the gravity-defying combover hairdo, the suit and tie and pillow stuffed under her shirt to mimic the Donald's paunch.

Trump already looks like some alien's vague approximation of what a humanoid adult male should look like, but Meryl Streep's Trump wandered deep into uncanny valley territory.

Streep's Trump may have been the stuff of nightmares, but the world would be a much better place if we had her singing Trump on the presidential ballot instead of the lousy, real candidate we've got now.
