BAGHDAD - HEAVY METAL

Hope you're all well-rested, cause we've got a doozy of a week geared up for you. Today we are thrilled to present the third part of our Heavy Metal in Baghdad series, with Iraq's greatest and pretty much only existing metal band Acrassicauda. As you may remember from the last series (which is your cue to go check out both parts 1 and 2 in the archives if you haven't seen them), due to the relentless escalation of death and destruction in their hometown, the two members of Acrassicauda remaining in Iraq finally caught a bus to Syria to catch up with their bandmates…

You'd think that escaping an active warzone would mean their problems were over at last, but now they've got to somehow eke out a living in a country that's arguably more restrictive of metal than Saddam's Iraq and has no economy, all while living in a subterranean refugee bunker beneath a family of Somalians. If you are saying "Sucks," right now under your breath, you are on the right page.

We also have two new DOs & DON'Ts & Friends with the kids of MisShapes and a pair of new videos in the [music channel](http://www.vbs.tv/shows/index.php?show=Music Videos&r=viceblog) courtesy of Sub Pop.
