Did you ever want to know where is the tummy in which all ideas, even thought itself, get big and ready to be born? Or more specifically, what lab David Lynch uses to cultivate perception? Easy answer: It's called the unified field, which we talked to Lynch about in a recent interview, and if you snicker about it you're not going to get a chance to win an autographed copy of his book Catching the Big Fish. We have five to give away.

You're going to have to work for it, and that means using words and little things called periods and commas. You may choose ONE of the following questions to answer. Best ones (chosen by us) will win.

Who is a better villain, Frank Booth from Blue Velvet or BOB from Twin Peaks, and why?

or

Who would you rather, Laura Palmer or Audrey Horne, and why?

OK, git to typing and email your answers here.

PS: The books are courtesy of the David Lynch Foundation, which is now planning the aptly named David Lynch Weekend from November 13 - 15. It's held at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa (of all places). The event is both a visitors' weekend for prospective students and a conference on the creative process, TM, sustainability, world peace, and other assorted glorious things. PPS: The editor-in-chief of this magazine realizes he is basically shilling, AGAIN, for TM, but would again like to register the fact that this doesn't get him all qualmed up. Not one bit.
