Bob Hund is some of Sweden's finest, along with our ladies and the pretty OK vodka. They just released a new album and single, big whoop-dee-do. A single. Well, this one sold at a staggering $3,650. The single is a dubplate, hence only allowing like 30 listenings, and according to their record company there will be no other means of distribution for the single. So that makes them greedy bastards with a heavily skewed idea toward self-importance of their own preciousness, right? Being a huge fan I had to find out and went to talk to them about large crowds, the single, and the story about how they almost used Sting's shower.

Conny: Well, look at it like this; when we make 1000 singles we lose about $2,350 every time. So instead of losing money, we actually earned some. But doesn't that sort of go against your band's philosophy…
Mats: But you know, we're not going to spend the money on some fancy restaurant, drinking ourselves unconscious. With the money we are going to make a single for every song on the album to sell on the tour, so it kind off pays off anyway.Yeah that sounds reasonable. So I was thinking, you've been playing together for 17 years, can you tell me about the worst and the best backstage you ever had?
Well, the backstage isn't something you think about. I'm just happy if there's coffee, and some place where you can sit before the gig.Conny: It's more interesting in front of the stage then behind the stage. That's true.
Mats: But something really bad happened when we were at this festival in Åbo (Turku, Finland), where Thomas [the singer] had to take a shower after the concert, and when he was about to enter the shower, this staff-guy came running, screaming: "No, no you can't use the shower. It's only for Sting." So they went for a bucket with cold water and a towel, so he could splash some water on himself. That was a little bit disrespectful. But it was Sting! Oh, you've got to get onstage now. Bye!
