MELBOURNE - SYDNEY NEEDS YOU (DON'T HATE BECAUSE WE'RE BEAUTIFUL)

While you guys down in Melbourne have PBS, RRR and even JOYFM (if you're a bender), Sydney is struggling to hang on to its best independent community radio station, FBI. Is this a big deal?

Well, it kind of is. FBI is pretty much the only station that will play the kind of music you're likely to want to listen to. Better still, when Melbourne bands come to town, these are the guys who promote them with interviews and plugs. Most importantly, FBI is one of the few things that stops Sydney from being swallowed up by the douchey bullshit illustrated in the image above.
Help keep independant music alive for people who are pretty much just blonder, tanner, slightly less cool versions of yourselves by heading to the Save FBI gig at Roxanne's on Friday, 19 June. Acts include Qua, Hot Little Hands and The Frowning Clouds. Tickets are $10 pre-sale or $15 on the door. For details or other FBI fundraising events, click this word.
