Vin Scully’s Call of the Final Out in Clayton Kershaw’s No-Hitter Was Perfection

No-hitters have and always will draw a ton of attention and “buzz” amongst fans and media, particularly when the rare achievement is done so in the commanding fashion that Clayton Kershaw exhibited last night against the Rockies. The lefty struck out 15 and walked none on 107 pitches.

But the extra special part of this particular performance of course came courtesy of Dodgers’ guiding voice, Vin Scully.

Here’s Scully before the final batter: “And there is one out to go. One miserable, measly out.”

And upon Kershaw striking out said final batter, he delivers a simple “got ’em, he’s got ’em.” And then appropriately allows the moment do all the talking.

This is why Vin Scully is an irreplaceable national treasure.
