Violent clashes between Russian and England fans in France for Euro 2016 continued today, following the scary scenes after the teams played each other last Saturday in Marseille. Now it appears that both groups of fans have moved on to Lille. Russia play Slovakia in the city on Wednesday and England play Wales in Lens, just 23 miles away, on Thursday, but they’re already getting into it with each other once more. The Daily Mail is reporting that Russian ultras attacked England and Wales supporters there on Tuesday.

Chairs were thrown and a supporter was pictured lying on the ground outside a bar in the northern French city on the same day that Russia was fined and threatened with being thrown out of the tournament.

Witnesses said a group of Russians provoked English fans who were in a bar near Lille’s central train station before chairs were launched through the air.

In the video also posted online, you can hear England and Wales fans chanting, “We’re England and Wales, fuck off Russia, we’re England and Wales,” as police attempt to clear the street.

The latest violence comes on the heels of UEFA’s announcement, in the wake of Marseille, that it was fining Russia €150,000 and threatened to ban the team from the tournament if their fans caused further problems. French police blamed “150 well-trained” Russian ultras who were “hyper-violent” for the Marseille conflict. On Monday, six England fans were thrown in jail for at least a month each and banned from France for throwing bottles and plastic pint glasses at police in Marseille.

On Tuesday, police also intercepted a bus of approximately 50 Russian ultras who were attempting to go from Cannes and Marseille to Lille. According to the head of the Russian supporters’ group, Alexander Shprygin, France wants to deport about 50 fans as a result of their involvement in the violence.
