In This 'SkiFree' Role Reversal, You Are the Yeti

'Mr. Yeti’s Fast Food' has you playing the monster.

In this delightful game created for the Ludum 33 game jam, you're in the redesigned yet still familiar landscape of SkiFree—but this time, you're the yeti looking for human snacks.

For those of you who might be too young to remember, SkiFree was an old Windows game where you ski and ski down an endless mountain, avoiding obstacles and inevitably getting eaten by a yeti. He would gobble you whole and then jump up and down in a taunting dance. It was pretty infuriating.

The theme of the game jam was "You Are The Monster," so game developers Big Green Pillow simply swapped the roles in the old classic. In Mr. Yeti's Fast Food, you're hunting for the delicious skiers, referred to as "burritos on sticks." You have to avoid exhausting yourself or starving to death.

"Mr. Yeti is usually a nice guy, napping in the peace and quiet of Yeti Mountains," the game copy reads. "But sometimes he can get dangerously hungry, and running around looking for food only makes him hungrier. Which means bad luck for anybody who ends up crossing his way in the forests."

Mr. Yeti's Fast Food is available to play for free on Big Green Pillow's website.
