Indie stalwarts and Zach Braff soundtrackers The Shins officially returned last week, announcing their new album Heartworms and releasing their first full track in half a decade, "Name for You." It's wordy and bouncy and everything you'd hope for from the Albuquerque sextet. Last night, they performed the track on Minnesota Public Radio's legendary A Prairie Home Companion show, opening up with 2003's "Gone for Good" before debuting a new track, "The Fear," an introspective, string-led ballad that has James Mercer quietly channeling Michael Stipe.Also on the show last night was fellow Zach Braff favorite Regina Spektor. She performed two tracks from 2016's Remember Us to Life, "Grand Hotel" and "Older and Taller," the second of which she played with host Chris Thile and his band.
