This is Washington Capitals prospect Connor Hobbs, who's currently playing in Sasketchewan for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. He is apparently a big pulled-pork sandwich guy, so the Pats' arena, Evraz Place, got him to film a commercial for its version of it. Or at least that was the plan; it's unclear from this blooper reel whether Hobbs ever actually pulled it off.Highlights include this personal anecdote we can all relate to:"One of my fondest childhood memories is sitting on the back porch enjoying a pulled-pork sandwich. I can't eat 'em like I used to, but thanks to [dramatic pause] Evraz Place pulled pork sandwich, I can enjoy 'em every day."An appeal to the intellectualism of the pulled-pork sandwich:"Evraz Place pulled pork. If you don't eat this shit, there's something wrong with your head."And this bit of comedy-duo slapstick:It's a goofy video that the Place surely hopes goes viral, and that's fine. Hobbs is way too enthusiastic about his love for pulled-pork sandwiches for us to be upset about it. He shows incredible gusto with each increasingly larger bite of pulled pork and even more so with his "mmm" post-bite reactions. At one point, he chomps into one, shakes the cobwebs out like he's just come alive for the first time and says, "Mmm, go get 'em, boys!" I don't even know what that means, to be perfectly honest, but Hobbs sells the shit out of it.[CSN Mid-Atlantic]
