Today is the 30th anniversary of the tremendous fight between "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler and Tommy Hearns and thus a great excuse to re-watch the blistering three-round match, or if you're like me, watch it for the first time. I've never been a big boxing fan—I watch some fights, if a bunch of friends get together and buy a pay-per-view or some such—but this fight is the goods.The first round packs enough for 10 12-round fights and it just keeps going. Hearns nearly knocked Hagler out in the first round—opening up his forehead and stunning him, while he absorbed a flurry of punches—but Marvelous rebounded and just grinded his way through Hearns for the remainder of the fight. In the third round, he finally caught Hearns on the side of the head, causing Hearns to stumble and turn his back. This opened the door for two more shots from Hagler, knocking Hearns down and out.
