Participatory performance-based video art projects from screens twisted into snaking shapes in [D](http://www.danielcanogar.com/)[aniel Canogar](http://www.danielcanogar.com/)&#x2019;s [_LED Sculptural Artworks_](https://vimeo.com/130317261). Over the past five years, Canogar&#x2019;s specially designed LED panels have hung over public spaces and gallery floors, from [audiovisual mosaic, _Waves_](http://thecreatorsproject.vice.com/blog/old-movies-are-projected-onto-hundreds-of-dvds-to-create-beautiful-audio-visual-mosaic), in Houston, to his newest _Helix_ installation at the Royal Caribbean. The artist&#x2019;s animations look like looped clip art in the acidic shades of a late 60s album cover: genderless crowds and pools of tie-dye. Together, with the similarly twisted form of the sculptures, the displays provide a new experience of the art from each angle and with each video segment.

A selection Canogar&#x2019;s other work, which [we wrote about in June](http://thecreatorsproject.vice.com/blog/enter-mind-bending-simulated-realities-at-a-new-exhibition), is currently on exhibition at [Bitforms Gallery](http://www.bitforms.com/) in New York as part as their _[Memory Burn](http://www.bitforms.com/exhibitions/memory-burn)_ show.

Since 2010, Daniel Canogar has been creating sculptural LED screens using LED tiles specially fabricated for these projects. The LED tiles can be bent and twisted, a flexibility that allows the artist to create screens with complex curving shapes. Their looping forms invite viewers to explore them from different angles. The shapes of these suspended artworks respond to the specific features of the architecture that contains them, as well as the flow of pedestrians that circulate under them. The animations are the result of public-participation performances, a signature method of the artist.

Estos tiles pueden ser combados y torsionados, y cuentan con una flexibilidad que permite al artista crear formas curvas complejas que invitan al espectador a explorar la obra desde diferentes ángulos.
