They say that upon the moment of death, or seconds before, your life flashes conclusively before your eyes. It always sounds like an intriguing thing to witness—getting to re-watch all those high points like your first kiss, that epic trip to Greece last summer, that time you threw that ball of paper over your shoulder straight into the trash bin. Bit of a bummer that you only get to see it when your precious life is being extinguished. Who made up that rule anyway? What if you could get that personal slideshow without having to skirt close to the abyss? Well, you can. Sort of.Pummelvision is an application that uses your Flickr, Tumblr, or Facebook, mining them for the images that make up your online (and offline) world and converting them into a running slideshow. Once it’s done raiding your digital life it’ll string the images together into a video and upload it to Vimeo or YouTube so you can have a watch and force it on to your friends, like a visual account of all the parties you’ve attended. Obviously, the quality of the photos (and, by extension, your life) will stipulate how aesthetically pleasing the video is. But, you know, it’s your life, surely we’ll all take some sort of narcissistic pleasure in seeing that online. The example in the video above is from Justin Ouellette, which is the example they give away on the site, and his life looks pretty fancy. You can get pummelled for yourself here.[via Peta Pixel]
