Yesterday we ran through some of the most impressive Kinect hacks out there, and it seems they just keep coming as this hit the net about 14 hours ago. It’s an interactive puppet made using openFrameworks and libFreenect, a bit like a shadow puppet but totally pimped. Emily Gobeille and Theo Watson, its creators, explain:The system is doing skeleton tracking on the arm and determining where the shoulder, elbow, and wrist is, using it to control the movement and posture of the giant funky bird!Awesome. Just imagine what you’re going to be able to do with this piece of tech in a year’s time.
