As you’ve already likely seen, Warren Sapp refused to tip a waitress yesterday for the service he received while watching the U.S.-Belgium World Cup match.

Sapp took to Twitter to defend his cheap-skatedness, and his argument leaves something to be desired (it doesn’t sound like the use of “boy” was racially charged, unless that is exactly what he’s getting at). 

Also: c’mon, man.

Then again, looking into Sapp’s history, this might go beyond him being a massive dick to a waitress at a (probably) shitty Florida sports bar.

Let’s take a look.

2012: He files for bankruptcy.

2013: 213 pairs of his Nike Shoes are seized by a court-appointed bankruptcy trustee.

2014: He makes a bet with Rick Ross for $100k that the Broncos will win the Super Bowl. He never pays up.

And there you have it folks. The excuse “Boys Don’t Tip,” is just a cover. Warren Sapp, NFL Hall of Famer, dude who made $82,185,056 during his playing career from salaries alone, can no longer afford to give a waitress a 20% tip.
