In the 34th minute against Tottenham, Wayne Rooney picked off a poor ball from Nabil Bentaleb and raced through the remaining Spurs defenders to score Manchester United’s third goal of the half. Then, to cap it off, he took a few shadowboxing jabs and knocked himself out.

The celebration was in reference to the video released earlier today by The Sun showing Rooney and Stoke City’s Phil Bardsley boxing. Rooney looked like he got knocked out, but it was obviously just a bit of fun. Earlier, Bardsley’s wife gave The Sun a jab of her own about the video claiming Rooney jumped up and laughed about the whole thing.

The goal was pretty good, but the celebration was pure quality.
