BAGHDAD - HEAVY METAL REFUGEES

Today we bring to a close our [Heavy Metal in Baghdad](http://www.vbs.tv/shows/index.php?show=Heavy Metal In Baghdad&r=viceblog) Trilogy with the two final installments of Heavy Metal Refugees from Syria. It has been a wild ride from our first corkscrew dive into Iraq to the bunker-like refugee slums on the outskirts of Damascus, but the saga is not over yet. In the first part the boys of Acrassicauda find a recording studio willing to accommodate them and finally put head to magnetic strip (or however tape recording works) on their first demo…

And in the second part, the bandmembers get a chance to watch the initial Heavy Metal in Baghdad for the first time ever. That's right: The series ends with them watching the beginning. It is basically a living Iraqi version of an MC Escher drawing (read: mindfuck).

We've also got two new DOs & DON'Ts & Friends with the MisShapes to help round out all the heavy vibes, as well as a final pair of [music videos](http://www.vbs.tv/shows/index.php?show=Music Videos&r=viceblog) from our pals at Sub Pop.
