The Mets were riding high last night after a longshot comeback against the Marlins. Not only did T.J. Rivera ding a dong in the first inning, but he pulled off a double in the bottom of the the seventh inning. He was out there, whacking away.

The Mets decided to celebrate the dong and the double in the bottom of the inning by giving Rivera a crown. It’s the Mets’ new tradition to give crown to celebrate the player of the game. But what the Mets didn’t realize when they snapped a photo and posted to the social media account was that they had made a monster mistake.

In case you want to find Waldildo for yourself (or if you’re squeamish about fake versions of the male anatomy), I’ll allow some space to scroll a bit:

The Mets deleted the photo from their account, and replaced it with a cropped photo. But that too was relentlessly clowned on by Twitter, so they took it down. Not even the above video was spared.

Then this happened:

The only question now is asking why Kevin Plawecki is packing heat in his locker.
